I applied online. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at Celonis (Bengaluru) in Aug 2020
Interview
Dear Celonis ,
I was interviewed for the ecosystems solutions engineer role for India office for 2 + weeks in august , normally i am not the one to give extreme feedbacks on the hiring process as different companies have their own mechanisms to evaluate a candidate and i totally respect that , however i am forced to share this feedback after what happened in my case - The process was not only disappointing but misleading and unfair at the least.
Good things about celonis first : Product is great , however It is extremely saddening to know that a company which claims to optimize and discover process gaps , has huge process gaps in its hiring itself.
I cleared all the rounds and was sent 2 emails confirming the intention to hire and then a salary discussion round and a mail confirming that final offer is now only pending approvals . ( Details attached in screenshots) . The HR however did point out that I had scored low in the revilion test and was asked to take a re-test which was also lower side but despite of this me & the hiring team had a final call on salary which was sent to me in mail as well clearly stating a decision to make the offer has been taken
I was shocked however to know only the next day that final approvals did not come through and no offer can be made .
My questions are :
1> If the revilion test which is the very first step in the hiring process was not clear for me , why did celonis chose to go ahead take all other rounds and even made me a tentative offer?
2> what kind of hiring process do you follow where you first make a tentative offer clearly stating your decision to offer a position , also do a tentative salary discussion and then back out of everything at the last moment?
3> This Is the most unfair and misleading in my opinion : we also discussed both with the hiring manager & HR on "how soon can you join" . What if based on your tentative offers in email , I would have gone ahead and resigned from my current organization ? would you have taken any responsibility then .
4> If you have not made your final call weather or not to hire a candidate why send misleading emails saying " we have decided to make you an offer " . ?
I don't know if this will make any difference to the hiring process but will be happy if it does . Lest assured i will share the same feedback on other social media platforms as well so it helps the other candidates.
It started with a recruiter call, then hiring manager + engineer call, take home project using the Celonis software (2-step interview), and then the last was a final round with the hiring manager again.
lengthy, multi step process with a couple of different people from the org. some cognitive thinking questions, and i’m pretty sure they ask for a work sample or presentation or something

Question 1
Whats the angle between the hands when the clock is at 2:15
I applied online. The process took 3 weeks. I interviewed at Celonis (New York, NY) in Oct 2023
Interview
Initial normal 30 minutes with recruiter. Next step was with hiring manager. Jumped straight into strict questioning of resume and knowledge. Minimal culture based, or personable aspects. Was very similar to a management consultant interview as compared to a modern tech company interview.
