      Senior Software Engineer Interview

      27 May 2026
      Anonymous employee
      Petah Tikva
      Accepted offer
      Positive experience
      Difficult interview

      Application

I interviewed at Cellebrite (Petah Tikva)

      Interview

The process included multiple stages: initial HR screening, technical screening, a deep technical interview, discussions with engineering leadership, and a final HR conversation. The focus was primarily on technical depth, system design thinking, and practical engineering experience. The interviewers were professional, respectful, and technically strong throughout the process.

      Interview questions [1]

      Question 1

Questions focused on backend engineering fundamentals, concurrency concepts, software design patterns, system design, distributed systems, and discussing real production architecture from past experience. There were also architecture-focused discussions around designing scalable distributed systems and evaluating tradeoffs.

      Negative experience
      Easy interview

      Application

I applied through other source. I interviewed at Cellebrite (Petah Tikva) in May 2026

      Interview

All the interviews were 2 interviewers vs me. asking basic questions and not allowing to use AI freely although they are the ones providing the tools, because they thought the way i used the AI made the questions look too easy.

      Senior Software Engineer Interview

      13 Feb 2025
      Anonymous interview candidate
      Tel Aviv-Yafo
      No offer
      Neutral experience
      Difficult interview

      Application

I applied online. The process took 1 week. I interviewed at Cellebrite (Tel Aviv-Yafo) in Feb 2025

      Interview

The interview process began with a phone interview with the team leader, who was patient, kind, and non-pressuring in both interviews. This was followed by a one-hour technical interview via Zoom with the team leader and another team member. Unfortunately, the second interviewer appeared bored and disinterested, which felt somewhat disrespectful.

      Interview questions [2]

      Question 1

In a multithreaded environment, you have a linked list where each node contains a struct. You have a READER function that reads values from nodes and a WRITER function that modifies the list, both running on different threads. How can you ensure that the READER function never reads a partially updated or uninitialized (null/undefined) struct from a node?"
      Answer question

      Question 2

      - Implement a data structure with SET, GET - It is similar (or identical) to https://leetcode.com/problems/lru-cache/description/ - The data structure should initialized with maxSize - GET (index) - return the value by index - SET (index, value) - set a value to a given index - Index can be any number, not related to the size of the data structure - If the data structure is full (==max_size), remove the last used index item (used means GET/SET) and set the new value
