An internal recruiter at Catalent pursued me relentlessly on LinkedIn. I was not job hunting but my education and experience were a "perfect match" for a job they'd been trying to fill for many months. I agreed to meet. Several lengthy telephone interviews went fantastic. I was brought in for a full day of interviews with 7 different HR personnel. All interviews went very well. Recruiter called me the evening of the interview to tell me things went very well and asked if I would accept an offer if they made me one. I said yes. I never heard from the recruiter again despite many, many attempts by email, phone and text. I also reached out to five of the seven people I interviewed with, as each had given me a business card. After two months, a different recruiter called me to say someone who had not interviewed me had squashed my job offer and the job went to an internal employee who was not even minimally qualified for the role. She noted that the same HR Manager had done this on multiple occasions to other outside applicants. This is how Catalent's HR department treats candidates for SENIOR-level HR positions. Can you imagine how the HR department treats everyone else? You can decide if you want to work for a company where the people tasked with treating employees and candidates respectfully treats them like trash.
