Professional, lighthearted, puts you at ease, fun people to speak with, straightforward, kind, the people seemed really genuine, it did take a long time to finalize. Negative is that salary was not brought up until the final interview.
Shame on this awful company. I was given a verbal job offer over the phone, was told that leadership approved the higher salary I asked for, I accepted the offer and they told me they were so excited and welcome to Caroo, then I was never sent the written offer. When I followed up 2 days later they let me know via text message that they were rescinding the verbal offer and couldn't give me a reason as to why. As a Mexican woman who asked for a higher salary (the salary I am worth) and then had the job offer revoked, I question the ethics of this company. In the interviews they bragged about how well they treat their employees yet treated me with utter disrespect. They gave me 2 whole days to turn away offers from other companies and spend money as if I had a well paying job secured before letting me know they weren't moving forward with hiring me after all. Why even make the offer in the first place then? In the interviews they told me they value work life balance yet frequently contacted me on weekends and off times showing no work life balance and a lack of respect for me. Don't believe anything this company says. They lie about how great they think they are and they treated me as disposable/not as a human before I even had the chance to start with them. I wish they wouldn't have massively wasted my time.
I applied through an employee referral. The process took 5 weeks. I interviewed at Caroo in Dec 2020
Interview
I had a total of 5 interviews including my initial screening with the head of People. This spanned over the course of 5 weeks. I was called with an offer and asked to start in one week.
