Interview
I sent an email reply to their job posting. My email was followed with a phone interview, asking about my writing experience and if I would be able to cover various community topics. During the phone interview, I was asked to submit samples of my writing. I sent them other articles I had written in the past on relevant topics. After my writing samples had been reviewed, I was hired as a freelance writer.
I applied online. I interviewed at Carolina Weekly (Pineville, NC)
Interview
Contacted thru emails only. Asked questions, to which I responded. When I finally got a reply they asked my asking salary. It wasn't much, well under the national average but never heard from them again.
Applied a second time with same. This job was a bit more detailed and required more expertise. Same exact thing happened.
