Questions were primarily behavioral and experience-based, appropriate for a non-technical, operations-focused role. During the second round, I took the initiative to raise the topic of onboarding planning with the hiring manager. Rather than discussing it in the moment, they asked me to follow up by email.
One week later, I was asked to prepare a formal presentation detailing a 30/60/90-day onboarding plan. I prepared and delivered it in the final session. The conversation was minimal, mostly me presenting, and at the end, the hiring manager asked me to send the slides so they could make a decision.
Two days later, I received a standard rejection letter with no feedback. The additional ask was disproportionate to the role, and being asked to produce -- unpaid -- without a genuine conversation or note about it afterward.
