I was contacted by a recruiter who reviewed my qualifications and then after phone screens with hiring manager I was asked to come on site. I was hesitant after reading the reviews but thought it would be an opportunity to make an impact at a growing company ......they booked my transportation for same day travel rather than a hotel the night before which caused me to be flustered during the interview and when I arrived on site there was no one to answer the door initially, so a customer service rep (I believe)...someone who was not wearing shoes, came to the door.
It seemed like they had already made a decision or there was some miscommunication between the internal teams towards the end of the process regarding expectations and for some reason they did not feel confident to ask me questions during the process. (i.e. I found out from my recruiter later that the SVP thought I had too much marketing experience and not enough sales, and then the analyst did not believe I had enough healthcare experience )
