Application
I applied online. The process took 3 weeks. I interviewed at Care4Calais in Apr 2024
Interview
One virtual interview. The interviewer was a really good interviewer and made it really comfortable. But it was not long enough, there was not enough questions to showcase range of skills. In the rejection email they said they interviewed 35 people! For a 6 month role! Please do more shortlisting so you don't interview that many people, it's a waste of your time & the candidate's as they have spent time preparing not realising there is such a small chance they'll get it.

Interview
The interview process for a voluntary caseworker position at Care4Calais is thorough and in-depth. After submitting an application (with priority often given to those with lived asylum experience), shortlisted candidates may have a brief phone screening followed by a substantive interview. This main interview is brief and covers your motivation, relevant experience, values, and understanding of asylum issues. Applicants are encouraged to prepare by reviewing their personal statements and timelines, and should be ready for scenario-based and behavioural questions.
