Three rounds of interviews, two of them are case based to assess technical knowledge (first case is relatively easy, calculation needed), one is mainly behavioural questions with the team leader
I applied through university. The process took 6 weeks. I interviewed at Capital One (Richmond, VA) in Mar 2012
Interview
1. Given a Math and Verbal Skills Test
2. Invited to a Case Interview (on-campus)
3. Invited to Power day in Richmond,VA
Power day ( given another case interview, job fit interview, and a behavioral interview)
Interview questions [3]
Question 1
Tell me about a time when you had to persuade someone?
1st round was 45 mins. Simple case (profitability and basic business acumen) plus a bit of behavioural
2nd round was in-person; networking dinner the night before, and then two back to back interviews (an hour long case and a 30 min behavioural)
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
For the case it was breakeven calculations and basic business questions (e.g. what are the risks and mitigations associated with this venture...)
Do case study questions. If you got an interview invitation, you will receive case studies examples, and they will ask similar questions during interview. After this, will have about 15 minutes behavioral questions. Why capital one? Introduce yourself...
