I applied online. I interviewed at Canva (Sydney) in Sept 2023
Interview
Review of the technical interview: The technical interview was an engaging experience, with a set of challenging questions that needed to be tackled within the span of an hour. I must admit, the questions posed were quite formidable and pushed me out of my comfort zone. Despite their difficulty, I viewed this as a valuable opportunity to stretch my problem-solving skills and expand my technical knowledge. It was an excellent test of my abilities, and while I may not have aced every question, I feel that I learned a lot from the experience.

After applying for the Canva Graduate Software Engineering (Aus and New Zealand) position, I got an offer for a coding challenge after the application deadline day. 120 mins will be given to crack the challenge, there are two options for the challenge - one for the frontend (in JavaScript) and the other for the backend (in Java). I choose to do the backend due to my greater expertise in that area and with Java. Almost a week's time is given to prepare for the challenge and I'm currently working on it.

Question 1
120 mins Coding challenge on HackerRank platform. Please note that if HackerRank gives you the error “Terminated due to timeout”, this indicates your algorithm may be correct but not optimal and is being canceled for taking too long.
Has a good interview. First round is an online coding question (js or java depending if you're aiming for frontend or backend). From there continued the process but unfortunately declined because I got a job offer elsewhere. Not to stressful overall and the recruiter was super nice.
