I applied through other source. I interviewed at Canonical
Interview
Probably the worst old school interview methodology ever. They really use a 100 year old test called GIA to filter out candidates, where your speed matters more than your experience or entrepreneurial character. For a job which requires street smartness they require you to do a test which was used to recruit soldiers. The revenues of Canonical are reflective of a rigid structure which refuses to change.
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
Totally random 20-30 questions meant to be answered in a few minutes.
The bots and IA they use to select candidates discards good candidates. One of the worst experiences I have trying to enter in a company where I met 90% of the requirements.
Quite pleasant it was great meeting people in the company. Long and a lot to do but I can understand why.
As for everything you can prepare yourself if you really truly care about joining the company. Though this is just my experience.
I applied online. The process took 5 weeks. I interviewed at Canonical (Emeabiam) in Nov 2024
Interview
lengthy, exhaustive and ended up being a waste of time (25 hours or so). Had gone through psychometrics and 5 interviews and then suddenly- sorry - no longer going through with your application - NO feedback why.
