      Application

I applied online. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Cambly in Apr 2021

      Interview

Process started with a case with 3 different questions: 2 easy on pricing/finances and one much more detailed on a Marketing plan (list of influencers, channels for advertising, etc...) Second step is a very surprising and weird interview... During a one hour interview, the interviewer didn't even take time to ask about my profile, experiences, etc... 80% of that interview was spent on asking me detailed questions on what I would do to develop the business in my country: what influencers I would work with, what Apps are famous here, what messages to communicate on, what channels for ads, etc... Interviewer insisted on me writing the list of my answers in the chat window... After one hour of intense questioning, the interviewer told me he had no time for my questions on the job and company. I had doubts if it was a scam or not but after reading several experiences similar to mine, It seems like the answer is obvious now. 2 months later, still none seem to have been recruited for the job. A disgusting way of treating people

      Country Manager Interview

      Anonymous employee
      San Francisco, CA
      Accepted offer
      Positive experience
      Difficult interview

      Application

I applied online. The process took 2 months. I interviewed at Cambly (San Francisco, CA)

      Interview

Overall, the interview process was smooth. It took about two months from the initial touch till the offer. Early on, the lead coordinator made it clear that they are pretty selective for the role. It would take multiple rounds of interviews and might take some time till the process is finished. Since I was super excited about the role, I made myself ready for this. As expected, there were multiple rounds of interviews apart from an exercise. The interviewers were casual, friendly but also were quite thorough. The interview format and flow were quite different based on the personalities of the interviewers. It looked to me that each of them was testing for certain traits or skills or areas. The hand-off from one step to another during the process was smooth. Some of the interviews were quite intense but friendly. It is crucial to go to Cambly interview with an understanding of its product and mission. The interviewers will generally tie back many questions and your answers back to Cambly. If you are not ready for this, you will find it hard. Overall, the interviews were casual and friendly but thorough.

      Interview questions [1]

Initially, there was an exercise you need to complete offline. It was around growing the business and the tactics you would use. Generally, other questions would be around: - Marketing Strategies - Testing your analytical abilities - Culture fit questions

      Interview

A very hands-on and collaborative process. Realy gives you an opportunity to get to know the company culture better and ask questions. It included people from different countries which required a lot of comfort speaking English.
