I applied through a recruiter. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Calix
Interview
I recently had the opportunity to interview with Calix India, and it was a thoroughly positive and enriching experience. From the very beginning, the process was well-organized and transparent.
The communication from the recruitment team[Gouthami] was prompt and clear at every stage. They provided detailed information about the interview format, expectations, and timelines.
The interviewers were friendly, professional, and genuinely interested in my background and experiences. The conversations were engaging and thoughtful — a good mix of technical depth and real-world problem-solving. What stood out most was how collaborative the interviews felt; rather than just testing knowledge, they aimed to understand my thought process and how I approach challenges.
Overall, it was a great experience, and I truly appreciated the opportunity to engage with such a talented and respectful team.
I applied online. The process took 2 months. I interviewed at Calix (Bengaluru) in Oct 2021
Interview
The HR called me in Oct 2021 and started the interview process with great enthusiasm saying they are starting new in Bangalore.
But it has been more than 2.5 months since the process started, 4 rounds done and there is no closure in sight - No progress to next round, no rejection notification, no feed back, no answer ! My application status in their job portal still shows "Under Consideration"
The interview discussions were mostly pleasant and nice except for one video round in which one hiring manager (director) raised unnecessary
cynical doubts on the credibility of the Machine learning course which I had completed in a reputed Indian institution..I just wonder he should have rather googled about the institute himself before calling me for interviews..
After the 4th round, I have waited for two months without any further update..
I had repeatedly requested the HR for prompt update, but they all appear to have fallen on deaf ears..
Finally he pointed fingers to the management and said he has not been updated of any decision. I then emailed the probable hiring managers,
and one of them responded that he would revert to me shortly. But not sure what is "shortly" in their dictionary. It has been 40 days since..no answer yet..
No respect shown for the efforts and time a candidate has to put for totally 3 hours of interviews..
I end up feeling like perhaps a lab rat being used for their hiring experiments in India..( In fact, one director's comment was "We are only exploring available skills now..")
I strongly doubt this company's management suffer from doubts, indecisiveness, lack of clarity on what they really want in a job role,
and more certainly lack of a courtesy and culture of respecting people..
I applied through a recruiter. I interviewed at Calix
Interview
Had a phone screen and then was invited for an on-site at Petaluma, CA. I was interviewed by 7 Senior leaders/Execs. Interview questions were in-line with the job description/responsibilities. I did get a job offer within 3 - 4 days.
