Easy. They hire everyone who applies. Ex-con, drug addict, doesn't matter. This is because the turnover is at least 90%. All 9 of the other trainees who started during my week quit the first or second week. I found out that was common and expected there. We ignored new trainees except to be polite or help them learn the ropes, because we knew they'd be gone in a few days.
