I didn't get the interview that's the shocking part that they rejected my application straight away eventhough I have over 3 decades of experience. the only thing I could think of is my age that they are not please about
As a designer in my early 50s with over three decades of experience in graphic and experience design, I was shocked to receive an immediate rejection for a role I applied for, especially given my extensive background. Instead of being invited for an interview, I was told that they had received "much stronger applications." Seeking clarity, I reached out for feedback but was met with a passive-aggressive response from the founder, who insisted their message was clear. The application process raised further concerns, as many questions focused on whether candidates were "fun" rather than assessing professional qualifications. Despite being an introvert, I pride myself on being pleasant to work with. After reviewing their social media, it became evident that the team was predominantly young, leading me to suspect that my age may have played a role in their decision.
