I interviewed through a career fair organized by the College of Pharmacy. This was my last interview of several that day. By the time I got to this interview, I was fully warmed up to hit a winner.
The interviewer followed a script and asked me very specific situational questions.
Tell me a little bit about yourself (I took the opportunity to highlight my life experience and ability to multitask)
Why CVS?
Tell me about a time when you improved a process.
Your store had been selling 1200 scripts. It is now down to 900 scripts. As a manager what would you do to bring the number of scripts sold back up to 1200. (I suppose there is not a unique correct answer. Just show that you can think on your feet and that you can consider the bigger picture.)
Tell me about your pharmacy work experience.
When I was asked if I had any questions for the interviewer, I asked the interviewer to tell me a bit about his/her history with the company. (This is always a good one to ask. You'll see faces light up.)
I asked two additional questions that I had prepared. (You should have a few prepared as well)
I received a formal offer about a month from my 1st and 2nd interview. It stated my salary as a pharmacist and as a graduate intern. I was also forwarded a document with all benefits and options.
