I applied online. The process took 3 weeks. I interviewed at CVS Health (Orlando, FL) in Mar 2013
Interview
Recently I learned that I could become a certified pharmacy technician with out the schooling and just on the job training through some of my friends so I went on a job search engine and saw that they were hiring for pharmacy technician at some local retail stores and I decided to apply . I applied online to 12 CVS stores and 3 days later after getting anxious and not hearing any calls back from any one I decided to follow up with a phone call to all the managers of the locations I applied to . After 4 days I got a call back from a location I didn't even apply to , to come in for an interview with the assistant manager the following day. I guess it went pretty good because she asked my to come back in 2 days to do an interview with the store manger . My other friend applied to the same place ( and got 1 interview but wasn't asked to come back for another). I interviewed with the store manager and left a bit apprehensive because he seemed very uninterested in the whole asking and answering questions process. But gladly 3 days they called and offered me the job ! Also, to top it off if there isn't enough hours in the pharmacy , I'm going to get crossed trained to work as an associate as well to balance out my work flow !The starting pay rate was kind of low but after some negotiation we came to a common ground. They then sent me an email for a job offer and then a email to go get a drug screening done. I'm very excited to start ! Keep your heads up ! and
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
How will any experience from your previous job help you adjust to the tasks and expectations you are held to here if you get the job?
For my interview it was a phone interview only. The manager asked very simple questions. Their main concern was if I could do basic math and even asked me a couple questions on the spot.
