HR discussion on the phone for 45 minutes: Basic technical questions like SQL joins, past experience, full forms, etc. Hiring Manager round next day: 1 hour discussion on past experience and role and work at org. Repeated questions and a few more basic questions. Panel round next day: Online panel with 4 senior team members. Back-to-back questions about SQL and databases from each person. Answered 90% of questions correctly and skipped a couple as they were out of the blue. Some questions were vague. They were expecting some answers they found correct and were not open to discussion on answers. Questions regarding BSS and OSS, billing and batch processing. Answered all as I have worked with a competitor application before. I think the team was looking for a specific replacement and was not open to new profiles. Rejection email the next day saying they went out with another candidate. The role gets reposted every week for the next 2 months.
