I had three interviews - a screening interview with a technical staff member, a panel interview with project leads and management, and another panel interview with management. The interviews focused mostly on my domain experience and less on technical skills/experience. A lot of classic interview questions intended to determine my character and work ethic. The interviewers were all professional and amiable, and gave me ample opportunity for me to ask my own questions and learn about the specific work I was applying to do. They also worked with me to identify the ideal position, as the original job I applied to was not quite the right fit for me. The process was a bit long, spanning a month and a half between screening and offer, but I believe that was due to scheduling challenges for the hiring team and is out of the ordinary for most candidates. It was likely also extended due to the aforementioned effort to select the right position for me.
