      HR Director Interview

      10 Jun 2025
      Anonymous interview candidate
      No offer
      Negative experience
      Average interview

      Application

I applied online. The process took 5 weeks. I interviewed at CGL Companies

      Interview

Disappointing experience overall. I went through several interview rounds, during which the details about the role’s location and remote flexibility changed multiple times. By the time I reached the final round, I learned the role was fully in-office at a location that was significantly far from my home—something I had clearly addressed early in the process. There appeared to be a major disconnect between the parent company and CGL, particularly around expectations and communication. CGL leadership even expressed disagreement with corporate HR’s direction, which was concerning. During the final round, I was made to feel like a burden rather than a valued candidate, and it became clear they weren’t genuinely seeking someone to step into a meaningful leadership role. Ultimately, the process felt like a waste of several weeks. I hope the organization takes steps to improve candidate transparency, internal alignment, and respect for applicants’ time moving forward.
