I was disappointed in the interview process (and follow-up) with CBRE.
I interviewed for a position at the Auburn Hills, Michigan office late last year. I was very excited about the interview because I researched CBRE and it seemed like an excellent company for a lasting career.
The interviewers were very professional and nice, and gave me the impression that during the first interview they were very interested in hiring me. In fact, I was invited in for testing a few days later. I (believe that I) successfully passed my testing and was invited to meet with the hiring manager again, this would have been my third visit to the office but the day before the visit I received a call that they had to cancel and that they would have to get back with me–I never heard back.
I emailed the hiring managers following the scheduled visit and never received a response. I emailed again a week later, still no response. I struggled with the lack of response for weeks. I could not figure out what happened. I did not want to appear overly aggressive and I did not know if the opening was cancelled, if something really “came up” or they just did not want me. If they simply did not wish to hire me, I would have appreciated feedback as to what they felt I could have improved on and I honestly do not know how I feel about CBRE because of my experience.
