I applied through university. I interviewed at CASTLE GLOBAL (San Francisco, CA) in Dec 2019
Interview
This company shows no respect toward candidates whatsoever. they don't reimburse for hotel for onsite interviews, but I went anyway because I was a new grad desperate for a job.
Phone interview: LC merge intervals
First round: LC Find peak element. The interviewer seemed unengaged and gave no hints whatsoever. Solve the problem anyways.
Second round: Something has to do with grouping labels... Not your typical algo question. Purposed union-find but the interviewer didn't seem to know what this is... In the end asked me to code on a laptop.
Third round: The HR came in and claimed their CTO is "away" so my interview was over.
As expected got my rejection letter a few days later... Definitely the worst interview experience I have ever had.
I applied through a recruiter. I interviewed at CASTLE GLOBAL
Interview
Fairly simple, was reached out to and had a 30 minute interview with a technical recruiter. The reviews of the company and speaking to current employees made me hesitant to join because of the intense company culture.
Had a conversation with Head of Operations, then CEO, then completed a take-home, and then did an on-site with people on their BD and product teams. Process was relatively smooth and relatively fast as the company was growing the business team rapidly at that time.
