I applied online. The process took 6 weeks. I interviewed at CARVANA
Interview
Everything leading up to the final interview was very positive. Really appreciated getting a high-level overview of the DC-based Customer Advocate position from one of the recruiters, and my interactions with two other senior-level managers over the phone and Skype were very positive and gave great insight into the role. However, there was a 2 week delay as the recruiting team was trying to figure out if I was to be flown out to Phoenix for an in-person interview or if I was going to interview in DC which seemed like a bit of a waste of time. When I actually did end up meeting with the DC market manager, the interview was pretty much run by a senior manager from a completely different market; I felt like he was ultimately the decision maker and the newer DC market manager kind of took a back seat. They were both very professional and spoke very highly of the company. In the end, I had to wait almost THREE weeks to get hear back from anyone, which, after being told I would hear back within five business days at the end of the interview, was a bit disappointing. I realize that lots of factors affect the decision-making process, but not returning my emails or providing me a status update until I found out they were moving on with different candidates just doesn't seem right. Overall, I really enjoyed learning more about this growing company, but was disappointed with the tail end of the process and the length of time it took to reach a decision.

Question 1
How would you feel essentially starting up and developing people in a brand new market?
I applied online. The process took 1 week. I interviewed at CARVANA (Tempe, AZ) in Oct 2024
Interview
Contacted via text on the interview process, and information was not clear on the interview process. Was not sure whom I was texting, and when I asked for a name, the individual did not provide a name so assumed I was texting chatbots. Texts claimed I would be interviewing in person with 2 hiring managers, however, after the interview ended with the 2 hiring managers ended up interviewing a separate time with higher-ups with a total of 4 people and for a total of an hour for the combined two interviews. Maybe this process didn't apply to everyone, but I did not appreciate the under-communication.

Walk me through your work experience

Interview
Straight forward, use STAR to answer any questions and be yourself. They basically ask about previous customer service experience and how you handle different situations. This position is on the road driving a truck so make sure you are comfortable with that.

Question 1
How have you handled a difficult customer experience?
Quick and Easy! The process took 2 weeks which was great! Interviewing should not take more then that as some companies will go as long as 2 months. Very happy with the process.
