      Consultant/PM Interview

      3 Oct 2019
      Anonymous interview candidate
      Bellevue, WA
      No offer
      Negative experience
      Average interview

      Application

I applied through a recruiter. The process took 3 months. I interviewed at Buildingi (Bellevue, WA) in Jun 2019

      Interview

Their recruiter reached out to me for a role. I talked with her and then went to an on-site interview with three people. I was then given an online personality test. I didn't hear back for two months. Then, the recruiter reached out again for a different role (program support for a client). The role was vague, and there was no job description. I then talked to the primary account manager that deals with that client. The conversation was via video. I was given a contingent offer (contingent on the final interview, which was with the client). I went to the in-person interview and was surprised to see she thought I had experience in a field I was up-front about not having when I spoke to the recruiter and AM. I was told I would hear back in two days. It was two weeks later that I emailed them saying I could assume I did not get it, thank you, etc, etc. Turns out, the job was put up again three days after my last interview. I would have appreciated a professional decline, especially after three months of the tug and pull.

Thanks for sharing your feedback! :) As you know we were working to find a great fit for you given your unique experience, and our evolving client needs across our portfolio. Given the consultative nature of our business, our recruiting process can be iterative/conversational. We try to explain that during the initial phone-screen to ensure candidates are on-board with the approach, and while I felt we did that - we completely understand that not everyone loves that unique style. :) You were an awesome candidate that we hoped we could find a great match for you at Buildingi but we understand that can get tiring and apologize for any inconveniences to your job search. We appreciate your notes and will continue working to improve every candidate experience. :) Wishing you all the best in your future! -Brittany Finnell, Director - People Operations
