HR Interview:
20 minute talk with the recruiter, she tells me about the company and I tell about my experience. She starts asking questions about data engineering, I can answer all of them but she points out that I didn't use some of the terms she had on her list (e.g. one difference between Delta Lake and a traditional data lake is ACID).
Then to my surprise she starts asking machine learning-related questions, and explains that "I know I know, the company is looking for 2 people for the price of 1" and that "there are lots of Indians applying for this position who know everything." (!) She told me that I'm not a fit for the role because I'm not "super senior" and "not heavy" :)
Overall the recruiter was friendly, and I felt that she doesn't agree with the requirements. But generalizing that Indians are a better fit (and this by a European recruiter...) was quite the red flag about the company culture.
