It was the first interview I received from a handful of jobs I applied after graduating from graduate school. The person on the phone was their HR manager and asked standard interview questions about my previous related working experience and my study in graduate school. My Arts Management degree was very relevant to the position, and my final thesis project was about grant management. I thought that I was getting the second interview for sure, but unfortunately, I didn't hear back from them. I felt that not having an in-depth knowledge of the Brooklyn community might be the most significant factor that prevented me from advancing in the hiring process.
