I applied through a recruiter. I interviewed at Breakthrough Academy (Canada) (Calgary, AB) in Feb 2026
Interview
My interview process was a series of interviews that ranged from discussions about culture fit to technical abilities. I was guided by Anthony which was great as he speed up the process a lot. There were 3 interviews total and an intro phone call.

Question 1
They wanted to know a lot about who I am and what motivates me.

Interview
Ghosted after three interview rounds and a work sample test that took me a good couple of hours. The interviews went well overall (or so it seemed). I enjoyed talking to the two people that interviewed me and was genuinely enthusiastic about the possibility of joining the company. The first interview was a phone call with a recruiter, the second one was a 30-minute Zoom call with that same recruiter, and the third one was a longer interview with a manager I'd be working with. During the second interview, I was promised to hear back from the recruiter by a specific day, which didn't happen, so I followed up over email a few days later, and that's when they did call me to arrange the third interview. I completed the work sample test they gave me after the third interview a day before the deadline. Since then, crickets. I followed up, this time to no avail. I can understand not getting back to every resume a company receives or every candidate after the initial screening calls. To hear nothing after three interview rounds and some actual work is a bit much. Given how much praise the interviewers sang to their company culture, I would at least expect a short and sweet rejection email — but no. Perhaps that is much more telling of what the company culture really is.

Interview
The interview process started with Anthony and as soon as I talked to him I knew this was the company that I was going to retire with.
He wasn’t your typical recruiter, he was open honest and didn’t waste time.
Much like the company themselves, Anthony was very professional without being over polished, a very common and honest approach to the process. The genuine interest was refreshing and reflected by the fact that I’m now employed and absolutely loving this company.
They got lucky with Anthony and he is a definite asset.
Thanks Anthony.
