i attended an interview with Botree software for an oracle dba postion.. The interviewer is not asked a single question on real time day to day activities. i thought he read some theoretical interviews questions and he asked the same questions. 1. what is the difference between dba_segments and dba_tables. I said practically the views what we are able see and how to utilise it. the interviews is started to saying bla bla.. where he readied and by-hearted that i don't know even that is not in oracle documentation also. 2.he asked me to how to delete 10000 files at a time in os level etc. such a waste questions.None of the dba never ask such type of questions. 3.i am going to say this is an another example that the interviewer is not a DBA. i said i used to monitor and checking alerts.that interviewer is asking like if your having 1000 db then how you will check..manually you will connect to every db and you will check. i said we are having OEM 12c cloud control monitoring tool to monitor the db's. so we used to check in OEM...he doesn't know OEM.. what ever the question that interviewer is asking i am saying the straight answer in practical way on day to day actives... Finally interviewer is saying only direct answer your saying. but i want complete theoretical lengthy answer.i was surprised by hearing that word from the interviewer i feel like he is really an experienced candidate or what? Oracle dba interviewer doesn't have basic knowledge on oracle dba.There is no self introduction while interviewing the candidate.completely 0 knowledge. how can i say is he don't know the CTWR background process instead of that he is calling it as DTWR some background is there what is it he is asking like that.Is he an interviewer to interview 3+ years of experience candidate. i feel like slap that beggar i got that much angry on him.i managed in my office to attend an interview i so serious about it but that interviewer feels like time pass. I really feels very bad.if he is asked atleast 1 question on real time issues like performance issues or anything on real time i feels ok. there is a justice for my time consuming and for managing every thing. really they don't need any Oracle DBA and who is having practical experience mainly that interviewer blady begger is a 0 knowledge on Oracle DBA. killing the others valuable time.
