I applied online. I interviewed at Boots Opticians (London, England) in May 2016
Interview
I applied online by uploading my CV and filling in a questionnaire about my experience. I was also given 50 questions about my personality/morals/outlook and had to answer them scaling from "Strongly disagree" to "Strongly agree". I was contacted via email the next day, along with a link to book an interview.
I arrived at the interview 20 minutes early and was greeted by the practice manager. Throughout the interview, I made sure to smile and build a good rapport with the manager. I was asked typical interview questions (detailed below), and then informed of training, how I could progress, and possible career paths.
3 hours after my interview, I received a call to extend an offer of employment.

Interview
Asked a couple questions about what I did at school, the interviewer was very friendly. Had a good experience, quite relaxed too. Was called back promptly and told I got the job.

Interview
It was a phone interview with a manager from a different hub. However he asked me a lot of questions and definitely made me feel very relaxed during the interview by giving me verbal cues of agreement when he agreed with me. It felt casual, like a conversation with a friend but with formal language. The questions themselves were quite difficult but thankfully I had experience in all those scenarios and was able to answer the questions honestly.
