Got a phone call. Mostly screening questions. How old are you? What's your current salary.? Very short call by the founder herself. Then Ghosted. Was told she'd get back to me. Then I saw a vacancy ad for an executive level.
The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at BoomGrow Productions (Kuala Lumpur) in Jun 2023
Interview
Send in your CV for review, and then meet with the manager of your department (e.g. plant science manager) to discuss your relevant experiences, skills and role expectations over an online meeting. The interview process was only one stage.
I applied online. I interviewed at BoomGrow Productions
Interview
I interviewed for the research engineer position. And not even 4 hours later I was rejected. I thought it was odd so I asked them about it. They informed me they went for a candidate that was further along in the interview process.
I wouldn't be so annoyed about it if during the interview they didn't ask me how my skills would be relevant to the work. I gave quite extensive suggestions about novel ideas in indoor farming applications. And them saying my expertise certainly has use in indoor farming applications certainly feels like I just gave free consultation service. Because if you have a candidate in mind why bother even asking me to come for an interview? Maybe don't show your hand and don't give specifics during the interview with this company.
