Screening and panel interview that followed the STAR method. Interviewers were robotic. Short time to ask questions. Received verbal offer with one amount but then a lower amount in writing! They also refused to provide detailed information on benefits. I felt like I was on another planet. They wanted me to decide whether to take the job without providing this information which is not unreasonable to ask at the offer stage.
The manager either completely unprepared or not authorized to make offers on the phone. She was unethical and deceptive, sharing one number on the phone and providing a lower number in writing. They knew my salary requirements early on, yet offered me the job and decided after the fact they didn’t want to pay my worth. I did my homework. Factoring in my experience, it aligned with similar roles in my city.
Boeing is a huge company that could afford to pay a fair wage for this position but chose not to. The most bizarre pre employment offer process I’ve ever had, and the entire process was a complete waste of time. Ultimately decided this money losing job/company was not for me. And glad I found out about the hiring manager’s true colors ahead of accepting a job there. I will never ever apply to a job with this company again. Extremely poor experience. Beware!
