      Everett, WA
      No offer
      Negative experience
      Difficult interview

      Application

I applied online. I interviewed at Boeing (Everett, WA) in Jun 2015

      Interview

Boeing uses a format they call the "Situation Interview". they will ask you a question like "if you knew your co-worker was on drugs would you tell your supervisor?" The interview is a panel of people (not a one on one) that range from the Manager of the Dept. to potential coworkers. After the interview they score you as a group.

      Anonymous interview candidate
      No offer
      Positive experience
      Average interview

      Application

I applied online. The process took 2+ months. I interviewed at Boeing in Jan 2016

      Interview

The hiring process was very structured as usual with boeing. I applied online and then six weeks later I was told that I had been excepted for an interview. I interviewed in Everett, WA at the main plant. I was dressed business casual and interviewed on a friday. The interviewers seemed very laid back and friendly they were all dressed in seahawks football gear because it is blue friday. There were three guys who informed me about the job and requirements. They then asked me one or two structured interview questions. I answered with honest and rehearsed answers and then we had some dialogue about my expirence and overall knowledge about the water jet. They seemed very impressed I knew about and was certified for the machine they are using. At the end they asked if I had any questions for them. I asked them what there favorite part of working at boeing was. They said the job security and being able to grow inside the company. I agreed that I was looking for a career at a place that could offer me the same. I then asked what the next step was. They said in 2-4 weeks I would be finding out about whether or not I passed the interview and got the job. At the 2 weeks mark I was still under consideration on my boeing profile online. Then at the 4 weeks mark I saw that the status changed from under consideration to completed. I have applied to boeing before and even interviewed and I knew that if I didn't get the job it automatically switches from under consideration to no longer under consideration. Confused as to what 'completed' meant, I looked up the information and found that it meant I have passed the interview portion and that they are now going to narrow down the pool and either make me a job offer or decide to go another way. I expect to have a completed job status for another couple weeks while they make there last decisions. I hope to hear good news.
