Presentation first. First part of day standard interview with star questions, then the team take you to lunch to get to know you. Second half of day technical. Long day overall.
I applied online. I interviewed at Blue Origin in Jun 2026
Interview
The HackerRank assessment consisted of two 30-minute questions that appeared to be based on simple problems but were modified in an unnecessarily complicated and ambiguous way with poor technical writing skills. Requirements were vague and open to multiple interpretations, making it unclear what was actually being asked, thereby creating a frustrating and ineffective assessment experience. I have a great deal of respect for Blue Origin, but I was not impressed by their use of HackerRank for this evaluation.
