Interview
Interview with project manager and technical lead about professional path. Both said interview was good and would follow up with technical exercise. Unfortunately I got reply after that. Asked recruiter for info after a week and they decided not to move forward. No reason given.

We have a very structured interview process and use external partners as well to recruit and test. There are several steps to go through and at every step we evaluate the best match of candidates to the job. Towards the end we are selecting the best of the best candidates and unfortunately will have to let the other candidates go - even though some of these candidates may be fully qualified for the job.
I understand that this is sometimes an unpleasant experience for these candidates, but we can only hire one person and therefore the arguments for selecting another candidate to go with is basically that there is a better match and this can be due to many reasons which may not be related to the candidate we let go. Therefore, arguments may not be directly linked to a candidate we let go but more related to some of the others and this might again lead to a weaker feedback to such rejected candidates.
