I want to start off and say everyone I met was super nice and welcoming. I appreciated getting to know everyone.
That being said, I don’t think it is their fault this process is chaotic at best. I interviewed with HR and then had a 2nd and 3rd interview, they did not tell me who I was meeting with for the 3rd interview. The people interviewing me seemed just as uncomfortable/unsure. After the third round I heard that I was not selected (they hired someone with more experience than me, which I totally get). They wanted to interview me for an Account Manager role, so I had the first interview. I had no idea who I was talking to. He put me through a “test” which was me giving a report. I had only 10 mins to prepare. I did not feel like I was at a disadvantage. I felt like he did not care that I had experience giving reports and knew the metrics involved in the report, he wanted me to say exactly what they say during their reports. Which is specific to a particular business. I ran through it based on what my company typically discusses. After this I did not get the position. This whole process took 3 months. It was just really drawn out and they seem unorganized in hiring. The positions mentioned on LinkedIn differed from the positions people actually held on the website so it was like they named the positions whatever they wanted. I also saw multiple places that the next phase was to fly out to DC but that was not included on the position posting on LinkedIn. Reading some of the Glassdoor reviews also gave me red flags because it looked like people were forced to give reviews. I think this company is trying to better themselves but they also need support from upper management. They need laid out processes for hiring and better communication.
