I applied online. I interviewed at Blooming Health
Interview
Avoid if you can, they are a waste of time. And honestly I’m not surprised they have a 2.7 rating on Glassdoor.
My initial call was with a recruiter then they sent me a SEVEN big case study questions and only gave me 2 days to finish. The recruiter scheduled an interview with the COO and HR manager to present my case study. That was not the case. The HR manager fired questions at me and the COO jumped in whenever to ask unnecessary questions. You can tell the COO doesn’t know a thing about HR. Turns out her background is in finance and she is overseeing multiple operation departments. It made sense. During the interview, I knew this was not a fit. First of all, the pay was 85-105k FOR A MANAGER in NY?? Even a generalist gets paid more. I could tell they were clearly looking for a director but they don’t want to pay for a director so they market it as manager but a cheap manager. If I didn’t need a new job, I wouldn’t even entertain them.

Question 1
Tell me about your network. Do you have any connections with insurance brokers?
I applied through a recruiter. The process took 3 weeks. I interviewed at Blooming Health
Interview
Please ensure you have an interview scheduled before creating a presentation for Blooming Health. Did not have a good interview experience given I created an excellent presentation for a prospective UPMC account and interview never followed. 10 hours of research and prep out the window preparing the deck they requested. Declined to provide a sales plan ans other items as part of 3 deliverables, all expected prior to interviewing! If they were an ethical company, they'd provide the presentation to showcase your skills. But no, they will ask for a sales plan, a presentation made from scratch, and request an analysis- all for FREE. What they are trying to avoid is paying a consultant and if their own team are unable to provide research or competitive intelligence without depending on interview candidates, they have a serious culture and leadership issue at large. There are better companies out there that value your time and respect you by showing professionalism. Avoid at all costs. Integrity is everything.
