I applied online. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Bloomberg in Jun 2015
Interview
I applied online and in two weeks they sent me an email asking for an interview. Within 5 days iI had a phone interview with an hr person. She asked two questions in total, and then hang up the phone. I thought she was maybe in a bad day, or she was just uninterested. Either way I don't know why she bothered ringing me.

Question 1
Why do I want to work there?
What can I contribute to the company?
It was a lengthy process that could have been streamlined. The in-between-stages communication was fast and easy. I was asked to summarise articles in real time. It took about 45 minutes. After that, we discussed my experience and qualification.
It was good, the interviewer was really calm throughout and kept me engaged with all sorts of connections that we were making while conversing. The hiring manager was really kind enough to answer a lot of my questions.
Friendly interview about my past journalistic experiences and my understanding of the financial/economic markets. Questions linked to economic events in the country the office is located in and technical questions about finances, stocks, bonds, currencies.
