I applied through university. I interviewed at Bloomberg in Feb 2018
Interview
On campus interview. First round has 3 coding problems and ask for some knowledge about machine learning like SVM and NLP. Second round contains some questions about the projects and design a data driven method to increase subscibers.
Had 6 rounds in total. Got rejected after 4 rounds. I gave resume/ml core concepts round, 2 live coding rounds, and an ML system design round. The last two rounds were supposed to be system design again and cultural round.
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
NLP,ML, python, system dessign, behavioral, data processing
Very pleasant experience. However the quality of the interviewers was low. They asked some questions about transformers and it is obvious that they do not know what they are asking about. Coding question was asinine and nonsensical. For sure they need to take interviewing more seriously.
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
- overview of transformers - some coding question about a stream of chat messages and a sliding window. Badly presented
I applied online. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Bloomberg (New York, NY) in Nov 2022
Interview
I applied on their website. The recruiter called for 15mins and later scheduled a phone screen with Python coding and technical questions. 30mins LC and 30mins talking about past experiences.
