Interview
Applied online. Received an email within 2 days to schedule a screening. Arranged a time and the interviewer called. It seemed that there were two main issues to the screening. Was I committed to Bloomberg and was I committed to abandoning traditional law. I have had my own practice for 16 years and I'm ready to move on, so my answers were strongly affirmative. She then told me about the position, I asked some generic questions about the position that I had and she said someone would be following up. I received an email this morning from another interviewer who wanted to have a chat with me. I emailed back that I already had the screening, was this a follow-up? I figured it may have been a mistake. I was in court, so we had multiple emails back and forth, but never did have the chat. He said it would be about 15 minutes and wanted to "gauge your interest in the role and see what you thought about both the position and the team." Hopefully more to come...
It was clear they had no interest in actually hiring someone for the role. Had 3 great interviews only to reach the final with a completely disinterested interviewer who was extremely negative.

Interview
The interview process consisted of an HR phone screener, interview with the hiring manager, writing assessment, and from what I understand a series of panel interviews. The people at Bloomberg do not respect your time. The HR recruiter with whom I had an initial phone screener with, called me 15 minutes late, then proceeded to leave the call half way through saying she really had to pick up another incoming call. Although she did call me back after 10 minutes, this probably was the peak of rudeness I have witnessed in interviewing for jobs thus far.
The interview with the hiring manager was pretty typical. I managed to pass this round onto the writing assessment. The hiring manager specifically told me that she likes to get back to interviewers at the latest two weeks after the written assessment. With this in mind, I was moved onto the writing assessment. I waited two weeks before reaching out to the HR recruiter for an update. She said they needed more time. I ended up waiting three more weeks, a total of five weeks to hear that I had been rejected.
All in all, very rude and inefficient interviewing process.
Interviewed over the phone with a recruiter of the company. The phone interview lasted about 30 minutes. The recruiter indicated that the process would involve about 4-5 rounds of interviews.
