I applied through a recruiter. I interviewed at Bloomberg (London, England) in Jan 2026
Interview
The interview process was extremely disorganized. I had to repeatedly follow up with the recruiter to understand about the next round as and when I passed one round. I got through 3 rounds of interviews. The coding round seemed like they wanted you to be a coding monkey and didn't care for thought process or vision. Overall, the culture of interviewing and the people interviewing itself felt off and I left with a sour taste.

GHOSTED!! Unstructured interviews and unprofessional HR
I interviewed for a data engineering role at Bloomberg and found the process to be poorly structured and lacking professionalism.
The interview rounds did not feel like a focused hiring process. Several discussions came across as unstructured, and at times it felt like the goal was not to properly assess candidates but simply to move through the process. This was particularly noticeable even at the final stage with head, where I would have expected more clarity and direction.
The most disappointing part was the complete lack of communication after the final round. Despite multiple onsite interviews across consecutive days - requiring taking time off work - there was no closure or update for months, even after follow-ups.
Being effectively ghosted at that stage, after significant time investment, reflects poorly on the overall hiring experience and company culture.

Interview
It was easy and asked few behavioral questions and details about Visa process also the interviewer was kind which eased my nerves. No technical questions as such as it was the first round
