Company located me on LinkedIn and asked me to talk with them. I had phone screen with the hiring manager. He asked me to do another screen the following week with another person. I completed the 2nd screen and recruiting followed up to schedule onsite interviews. We set a date/time for two weeks out.
At 5:30pm the evening before I am to interview, I receive a message from coordinator that time of interviews have changed. A few minutes later the recruiter calls me and needs to speak with me. She wants to give me a list of who I am interviewing with and I confirm with her the new schedule, which she is not aware. After another call and email, we get the interview schedule clarified.
The interviews went well -- I think that I met with 6-7 people over a few hours. The hiring manager was last and said that he wanted me back in to meet with a couple people who were out of office. The recruiter sat down with me at the end and said she would like me to prepare a presentation that I would present to the team on my vision for the product. She said she would contact me to set up the next interviews.
Never heard from them again. No email, no phone call.
Overall, since the role had been open for a very long time (and those who interviewed me seemed hesitant on whether there was even buy-in for the role internally), I feel that my time was wasted. If anything, I felt they were window shopping.
