      I interviewed at Bitwarden

      Interview

My experience: I am a male UX with 20 years experience i was contacted on Dec1 by email; Dec 2 -recruiter interview (female) - promised Benefit information during call, which i never received Dec 4 - HM Interview(also a woman) - she wore a funny Christmas sweater and joked about it for 25% of the call Dec 4 - contacted by same female recruiter and was told i am advancing to panel interview, she promised to send prep materials which she never did Dec 10 - I was interviewed by a panel of 5 (all women) Dec 11 - 29 - Silence no communications Dec 29 -i emailed the recruiter to inquire about status Dec - 30 - “My apologies I have been out of office and with it being the holidays things have slowed down. Could I get back in touch on Monday the 5th once I have caught up with the HM and we can connect re next steps ? We have not moved forward with any candidates genuinely things have slowed down due to the holidays and people taking holidays.  Apologies again,” Dec 5 - no update as promised Dec 7- i received the following email: “Hello, I hope that you are well and had a lovely holiday period and are settling into 2026.   Thank you again for your patience.I wondered if you had 10 minutes to catch up so that I could update you on your application. If yes, please feel free to schedule a day/time that works for you via my Calendly link below.  Hopefully talk soon,” Dec 8- i set up a video call and i was rejected via video interview in the cruelest of ways after being ghosted for 20 days. The recruiter felt the need to tell me about her stunt record of professionalism. she had said she rejected me by video as a COURTESY to ME! News Flash - she looked bad and they are extremely unprofessional, unorganized and unnecessarily cruel. There were twinges of sexism i picked up throughout the process. I guess i was right. I would avoid this company at all costs. There’s a reason why they have a product that is barely usable to an end user that is not a highly skilled engineer and it’s because they have a poor UX process and team.

      Interview questions [1]

      Question 1

I had to ask most of the questions because the team was very amateur and not very familiar with the product. There was also lots of nepotism as they seem to have known each other from previous jobs.
