Had a phone call with the recruiter first and she was excellent and very friendly! But that's when it ended. Second interview was with the hiring manager and first of all, she was almost 10 mins late. She also appeared very uninterested throughout the interview and was always looking off screen. The vibe was definitely off but I was able to get a third interview where it was a mock call situation. This round was with the same hiring manager and another manager. Again, the vibe was a bit off and she looked uninterested but the other manager - he was more engaging and was a lot nicer. I was rejected but overall, I dont think I wouldve accepted because i cant imagine working with the hiring manager based on first impressions.

Question 1
why biorender? what do you like/dislike about bdr?
I applied online. I interviewed at BioRender in Feb 2026
Interview
The process spanned 6 weeks — 2 informal chats and 4 interview rounds. HR was transparent about timelines and professional throughout, and I genuinely enjoyed meeting the team.
That said, the process felt mismanaged in hindsight. From the first call, I was flagged as a better fit for a junior role, yet I continued through 3 rounds for the EA position anyway. After not passing the technical round, they pivoted to interviewing me for the junior role — only to ultimately reject me because they lacked the bandwidth to train someone at that level.
The lack of clarity was frustrating. Several weeks of interview prep were invested in a role that, it turned out, didn't really exist.

Question 1
What do you know about BioRender?
Tell me a time you had to handle ambiguity.
The whole process took about 5 weeks, and there is a lot of work and time that you need to be committed to doing to prepare for the interviews and test projects.
