      Director Interview

      18 Aug 2015
      Anonymous employee
      Salt Lake City, UT
      Accepted offer
      Positive experience
      Easy interview

      Application

I applied online. The process took 5 days. I interviewed at Beyond, Inc. (Salt Lake City, UT) in Sept 2014

      Interview

Very casual - 2 interviews. They were more interested in hiring vs. asking questions. My advice would be to be much more discerning in understanding the job they are offering, how you will be measured, etc. The job and "level of responsibility" I was presented was vastly different from what I ended up with. Probe carefully what decisions you will be able to make and if you talk about any "future benefits/raises" get it in writing.

      Director Interview

      20 Jul 2020
      Anonymous interview candidate
      No offer
      Neutral experience
      Average interview

      Application

I applied online. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at Beyond, Inc.

      Interview

Applied online and received a response approx. 3 weeks later. The initial contact was a little strange as most companies conduct an HR screening call before moving the candidate forward. Here there was no call with HR/recruiting. I was scheduled directly to speak with the hiring manager, who was kind during the video interview and asked high-level questions to gauge my qualifications. About a week after this call I received an automated response from their applicant tracking system letting me know that I was not selected to move forward. This part felt impersonal and a little discourteous. It would have been more gracious for HR to write a personal email, especially since I was already in touch with her from before regarding scheduling etc. Overall the interview experience was fine, just seems that they don't follow industry standard processes.
