I applied through other source. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Betts Recruiting (New York, NY) in Aug 2016
Interview
Was contacted by a recruiter who painted a very rosy picture of an "exciting opportunity" in a "hot market." When we finally spoke and she revealed the name of the company, it was a company I hadn't heard of so I told the recruiter that I wanted to do some research. My research revealed this was a company whose stock was trading at $2 a share and had posted significant losses for many consecutive quarters.
When we spoke again, the recruiter acted befuddled that I was able to uncover this information. Despite my insistence that I could not consider joining a financially unstable organization, this recruiter had the audacity to ask for an opportunity to get more of a backstory from the company.
Balance sheets don't lie and you can't put icing on mud and call it a cake!!! Please train your recruiters not to overstate the attractiveness of an opportunity. That's a sick thing to do at the expense of someone's livelihood.
