I applied through an employee referral. The process took 1+ week. I interviewed at Best Buy
Interview
Very detailed questions. They want to know why you succeeded or failed. The dialogue is very smooth. They ask everyone the same questions for fairness but they want to hire someone that wants to be promoted

Question 1
Describe the hardest customer experience and how you handled it
The process took 1 day. I interviewed at Best Buy (San Jose, CA) in Mar 2011
Interview
Too much networking, and has no respect to talents. Especially when it comes to Best Buy Mobile Manager (quasi-supervisor) position. The District manager is totaly bias, and has been known for it. But then again, it is not how good you are, but rather who do you know.

Question 1
They like to ask if there is a situation if you have to deal with a unhappy customer or if you have to go out of the way to solve a problem which you had create.
I was an internal candidate who applied to become a Best Buy Mobile Manager. Internal Best Buy leadership interviews are extremely dependent on you knowing your business. Most questions involve the manager asking you questions about your current financial results. It is extremely important that you know your numbers cold. Many follow up questions revolving around why your numbers are where they are and what you have done to influence them.
