I applied through a recruiter. I interviewed at Bene Studio (Budapest) in May 2023
Interview
There was 2 rounds for me. 1 HR and 1 tech like. They gave me homework which we discussed in tech round. This homework was around 3-4 hours work for me at least. It seems to be there was something wrong with the solution but they never tell me what exactly. No feedback at all from the HR. So basically waste of time.
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
Nothing special they asked a few things about the homework solutions.
- short screening call - completing a study case ("homework" before the interview) - interview with the CEO and CTO (on site): during the interview, it was revealed that the job description does not fit well with the actual tasks, and the company's strategic direction differs from what can be read on their website
I applied online. I interviewed at Bene Studio (Budapest) in Sept 2022
Interview
There were 5 stages in total and I went through 4 of them 1 - Initial screening with the HR 2 - An hour long technical discussion with 2 other developers 3 - Coding assessment that took up to 6 - 7 hours 4 - Interview with the COO and a Senior Engineer 5 - Cultural fit and offer Each stage took at least a week. They reply quite late. But all I got after the 4th stage was an email saying "Unfortunately we have decided not to go further this time". I would have appreciated a bit more feedback explaining the "why". After all I spent 2.5 hours on the interviews and 7 hours with the coding assessment. So it's a big unprofessional and honestly a waste of candidate's time. I can understand that they receive a lot of applications but I was rejected on the 4th stage. When the candidate is rejected in the final stages he deserves some feedback.
