Smooth, well-structured process — recruiter screen, HM call, team member interviews, and a department head call. Mix of technical and behavioral questions throughout with an emphasis on culture fit. Positive experience overall.
I applied through other source. The process took 3 weeks. I interviewed at Beam Therapeutics in Apr 2026
Interview
started with screening phone call one day, one day was a second round interview with the VP of IT, another day then went into a ~5 individual panel interview for about 2-hours on the same day (30 mins with one person, another 30 with another, another 30 with another, etc.) Only the first interview for the panel was really an “interview”. basic Q&A, mostly behavioral. The rest of the interviews were the interviewers just telling you about the company and the culture. You’re free to ask them more questions. Last interview for me was 15 minute zoom call with the recruiter just to debrief.
Everyone was really kind and welcoming. Disappointed I didn’t get the role, but definitely would be open to future opportunities.
I applied through a staffing agency. I interviewed at Beam Therapeutics in Mar 2026
Interview
Phone screen with recruiter, then company TA rep, first found with hiring manager, then scheduled for a 6 person panel. The day before the panel, one interviewer had to reschedule. The day of the panel iinterview, during my first interview I received an email for a reschedule of one of the panelists I was meeting with next. Interviewers didn't seem prepped on my CV and didn't give the impression that they interview a lot. Interviews were 30 minutes, but this was not enough time as most Interviewers arrived a couple mins late, or talked a lot and didn't give a lot of room for questions and answers.

Question 1
Can you go over all of the positions on your resume with me from the beginning, tell me a little about what you did there and how it relates to this position?
