I applied through an employee referral. I interviewed at Beam Solutions
Interview
The interview process here was very genuine in its approach. I believe they focus on warm hearted culture fit first, then technical aptitude second, each taken into heavy consideration. It felt very easy to blend well with the company here. I wanted to sign the offer as soon as I read it over. My interview process was a few business days longer than traditional, but no complaints at all. Welcoming, timely, casual yet professional, and if they like you they will make it clear.

Non-standard questions included: Is there anyone in your network that you think you would be interested in joining the team with you? How would you commute to the office?
I had a very positive interview experience with Beam. The process lasted several weeks and included a few phone calls, a lunch meeting, a coffee meeting, and an in-office demo of the Beam product where I was also able to meet a number of team members. The logistics probably differ a bit depending on the role. Beam leadership clearly cares deeply about recruiting and is willing to invest the time to make sure that there is a mutual fit. I was simultaneously interviewing with a handful of other companies and dealt with a number of inconveniences during those processes, including last-minute cancellations and poor communication. The Beam interview process was great on its own and even better compared to the other processes I saw (even those that wound up leading to job offers that I declined).
Thanks for the feedback, we're always looking to improve our interviewing process and this kind of feedback is invaluable. We try hard to get the logistics right and while that can be challenging at our size and growth rate, great to hear we got it right here.
I applied through other source. The process took 3 weeks. I interviewed at Beam Solutions (San Francisco, CA) in May 2019
Interview
It was smooth and well organized. I went through a couple of rounds with different people in the organization and they were all well prepared, on time and very engaged.
