I applied in-person. The process took 3 days. I interviewed at Bath & Body Works (Fresno, CA) in Nov 2012
Interview
Went into this Bath and Body works in Fresno, CA was doing shopping and decided to pick up an app, was told they really needed seasonal workers, and to turn in the app ASAP. Went back to the mall later that night and turned in the app. When i turned the app in they then scheduled me a interview for the next day at 12pm. Went back next day at 11:45am and was told to pick a favorite product "Vanilla Bean Noel", we then went into the back room and began the interview process. There were two other applicants with me, ( two girls, one boy.. aka me) She started by asking why we wanted to work at the store, the next question was what was one moment were you made someones day in retail, and describe a time when you had an upset customer, and how did you resolve the issue, and last question what is legacy customer service. Some of the questions i felt were more with past experience, I was expecting them to ask us questions like "what if this, describe this product, how would you handle this situation". Overall i felt like they did not really care about our background but more on what you have done in your customer service life, which is understandable but you would think they would want opinions on how a certain individual would handle issues. After all of this she said if you did not hear from her by Friday assume the position has been filled.
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
A difficult question would of been the "describe a time when you had an upset customer, and how did you resolve the issue" Not everyone in retail is gonna have a angry customer or a day were you've made someones day
